A well-fitted BMW riding jacket should close comfortably, allow forward reach, and keep the sleeves and collar in place without excessive pressure. The size printed on the label is only a starting point; the garment chart, intended layers, and jacket shape are more useful.
Full Grain Apparel offers standard sizes and free custom sizing on the linked made-to-order products. These are independent designs, not official BMW Motorrad jackets. Textile models discussed here use Cordura and do not use GORE-TEX.
Measurements to take before ordering

Measure over your riding layers

Check fit in a riding position
Bring both arms forward as if holding handlebars. The shoulders and upper back should allow movement without the collar pulling away or the sleeves rising excessively. Close the front zipper and confirm that it does not bow or create strong horizontal stress lines.
Summer jacket fit

Touring jacket fit

When to request custom sizing

- Your shoulder width does not align with the chart.

Custom sizing improves proportions but does not replace accurate measurements. Full Grain Apparel may contact you to confirm the details before production.
Fit does not prove protective performance
A comfortable fit helps keep the garment positioned as designed, but it does not create a safety rating. Confirm the supplied armor and any documented certification on the individual product page. Do not infer waterproof performance from Cordura, and do not describe these products as GORE-TEX.
